These passages will be sourced from both contemporary and historically significant works of fiction and non-fiction, crafted to match the reading level of a 12th-grade student. Each passage is designed to be read in about 5-7 minutes.
Following each passage, you will find a series of questions aimed at assessing your comprehension and language skills. You will be expected to demonstrate your abilities to:
- Identify Main Ideas: Understand the primary point or theme discussed in the passage, along with the various arguments and perspectives presented.
- Draw Inferences: Make logical conclusions based on the information provided in the text.

Current Affairs Including General Knowledge
In this section, you will encounter passages of up to 450 words each, sourced from news articles, journalistic writings, and other non-fiction materials. The questions may involve examining legal information or knowledge relevant to the passage, but no additional legal expertise is required.
Each passage will be followed by a series of questions assessing your awareness of various aspects of current affairs and general knowledge, including:
- Significant contemporary events in India and worldwide
- Arts and culture
- International relations
- Historical events of ongoing relevance
Legal Reasoning
This section will present passages of around 450 words that relate to factual situations or scenarios involving legal matters, public policy, or ethical inquiries. No prior legal knowledge is necessary to answer the questions; however, a general awareness of contemporary legal and moral issues will be beneficial.
Each passage will include questions that will require you to:
- Identify and infer the rules and principles outlined in the passage
- Apply these rules and principles to various factual scenarios
- Understand how changes to the rules or principles might affect their application in different contexts
